New to Foster Angels this year, our Soaring Scholars Program! We have created a scholarship fund to support current or former foster youth pursuing a college degree or vocational certification. We will offer a $10,000 scholarship over the course of four years to ensure their success in higher education.
Did you know, only 2% of children in foster care will go on to college to complete a four-year degree? Our goal is to mitigate these statistics by providing financial support to students throughout their college careers.
This scholarship will provide extra support to ensure that no financial hardships or traumatic experiences get in the way of achieving their goals. The application will be open from April 1 – May 14 and our committee will meet the week of May 17th. Notifications will be sent out by May 31st.
