We had a great time at the Corpus Christi Hooks baseball game at Whataburger field. On Thursday, May 4th Foster Angels rented out the Mike Shaw line drive loft for over 65 children in local foster care. They watched the ball game from a 3rd story view along the 3rd baseline while eating hot dogs, hamburgers and snacks. They even got to hang out with Sammy the mascot and run along the field. Then it was time for ice cream!
This was a first-time game for most of the children and it was heartwarming to see their smiles and happy faces lighting up. A foster parent said it best, “Thank you for hosting us at the Hooks game! I can’t tell you how much we appreciated this fun experience. It was our first game, and we had such a great time!”
